1. Introduction
Harborwell Staffing, LLC ("Harborwell," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through harborwellstaffing.com (the "Site") and our nanny and household staffing placement services (the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Client Family inquiries: name, contact information, address or general location, household composition, care needs, and schedule preferences.
- Candidate inquiries: name, contact information, resume/CV, work history, references, and information relevant to background screening and work eligibility.
- Communications: any information you share when you call, email, or otherwise correspond with us.
We may also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the Site, such as browser type, device information, and general usage data, which does not by itself identify you.
3. Background Check Information
As part of our Candidate screening process, we use a third-party consumer reporting agency to conduct background checks. Candidates will be asked to provide separate, specific consent before any background check is initiated, consistent with the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and applicable state law. Background check results are used solely for placement screening purposes and are handled with confidentiality.
4. How We Use Information
- Match Client Families with suitable Candidates;
- Conduct screening, reference checks, and verification of Candidates;
- Communicate about potential matches, scheduling, and our Services;
- Process payments and maintain business records;
- Improve and operate the Site and our internal matching tools;
- Comply with legal obligations.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information between a Client Family and a Candidate as necessary to facilitate a potential match, with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf (such as background check providers and payment processors), as required by law, or in connection with a business transaction.
6. Data Storage and Security
We store information using a combination of business tools with access limited to Harborwell personnel who need it to perform placement services. While we take reasonable measures to protect personal information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain business records, and comply with legal, tax, and background-screening recordkeeping requirements.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site and Services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Information about a Client Family's children may be collected from a parent or guardian solely to facilitate appropriate caregiver matching.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent for background screening, or opt out of non-essential communications.
10. Cookies and Analytics
The Site may use cookies or similar technologies to support basic functionality and understand aggregate usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
